Big Pine Lake Camp and How to get there!
A well planned trip will be an important and enjoyable part of your vacation. Give yourself and your family plenty of time to fish, hunt and enjoy the scenery as well as time to stop and take in the history and color of our Canadian visit. Clearing Customs can be a simple and quick matter. Passports or special papers are still not required. However, it's a good idea to carry proof of citizenship and auto registration.

Crossing at International Falls / Fort Frances Border
Once you have cleared Customs at International Falls (Minnesota, USA)/Fort Frances (Ontario, Canada) take Highway 11 West then turn North onto Highway 71. Driving time from Fort Frances is approximately one hour.
After reaching Caliper Lake watch for the Big Pine Lake Camp road sign on the corner. Turn right and follow the road directly into camp.
Travelling from the Winnipeg Area
Take Highway 1 east (which turns into Highway 17 east) follow that to Highway 71 South. The turn off is just east of Kenora. Drive approximately 60 minutes to Nestor Falls. We are 4 km South of Nestor Falls located across from Caliper Lake look for our road sign.
Whenever you travel always drive safely and remember that seat belts are mandatory in Ontario and that speed limits are posted in kilometers per hour not miles per hour.
