Big Pine Lake gives you the all season fishing challenges that are found only in our cool Canadian waters. With many miles of rugged forest shoreline, feeder streams and natural rocky structure you will find ideal fishing for such game fish as Great Northern Pike, Walleye, Small Mouth Bass, Muskie and the added bonus of "Big Pine" Crappies. Whatever your fishing pleasures it's an experience you shouldn't miss.

** As of September 15, 2009 all operaters (resident and non-resident) are required to show proof of compentency if operating a motorized watercraft.
Proof of competency can include one of the following:
a) Successfull completion of a boating safety course in Canada such as the Canadian Pleasure Craft Operator Card
b) A National Association of State Boating Law Administrators approved boater card. Check to see if your card is acceptable at www.nasbla.org
c) Completion of a Rental Boating Saftey Checklist

Remote Fishing
For the adventurous person who would enjoy a secluded, peaceful lake to fish you can take a mile hike into Clarkson Lake where we have two boats awaiting you. You can fish for Small Mouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. Our portage to WigWam Lake offers great Muskie and Smallmouth Bass fishing.
Big Pine Lake Fishing Tips
There have been volumes written on how to fish the various species, however keep in mind that each lake, even those just a few miles apart must be fished differently. Most of the basics remain the same, but the little "tricks" will vary from lake to lake. At Big Pine we want your fishing to be the very best it can be ... so do not hesitate to ask for advice or help as concerns local techniques, baits, etc. We will be more than happy to share our knowledge with you and point out the most productive areas.
The screened and well lit fish cleaning house is provided for your use and we will be glad to freeze your limits for your trip home.
